The
liquid ceramic mass, called slip, is poured into the
moulds. The slip consists of kaolin, quartz, feldspat
and water.
The moulds absorbs the water of the slip and after
some time, a shell develops. The longer the slip stays
in the mould, the thicker the shell becomes. When
the shell has reached the correct thickness, the excess
slip is poured out, and can be reused.
